Camp payroll
Your headcount
triples in June.
Payroll set up for a steady year-round staff does not bend easily to that. We run camp payroll, or we help you modernize the payroll you already run, so hiring waves, onboarding and staff spread across states stop being the thing that eats your spring.

The season sets the schedule.
Camp payroll
What makes camp payroll different
None of this is exotic. It is just not what a year-round payroll setup is built around.
01
Hiring waves, not headcount growth.
Most of your staff arrives inside a few weeks, works a defined season, and leaves. The system has to absorb that twice a year without a scramble.
02
Onboarding at volume.
Every one of those hires needs paperwork done, verified and filed before their first day. Done on paper, that is weeks of somebody's spring.
03
Staff who live somewhere else.
Seasonal staff come from other states, and every state they live in has an opinion about it.
04
Advances and mid-season changes.
Staff ask for advances. Roles change in week three. Somebody has to make that work correctly inside the season.
05
The season does not wait.
A payroll problem in July cannot be scheduled for August.
How it works
Three ways camps work with us
Some camps hand us payroll entirely. Some keep the process they have and ask us to modernize it. Both are real engagements.
01
We run it
- For
- Camps ready to hand payroll off
- What it is
- Full-service payroll on a modern platform, set up around your season. Gusto is our preferred platform and it is where most of our camps land, and the setup comes with the automation and integration work built in rather than quoted separately.
02
We support the payroll you run
- For
- Camps who like their current process and want it to work better
- What it is
- You keep processing payroll. We add the pieces that make it modern: paperless onboarding, the connections between your systems, and the automation that removes the manual steps. Priced to the support you need, ongoing.
03
One project at a time
- For
- Camps with a single thing that needs fixing
- What it is
- A platform migration, a paperless onboarding build, a multi-state cleanup. Scoped and priced as a project, with no ongoing commitment.
The work
What we handle
- Fast ramp for seasonal hiring, and the ramp back down
- Paperless onboarding, from offer to first day
- Multi-state registration and filings for staff who live elsewhere
- Payroll advances, handled correctly
- Platform setup and migration, Gusto preferred
- Connections between payroll and your books, so the numbers land where they belong without re-keying
- Mid-season support when something has to be fixed this week
Proof
Two camps, on film
Both of these are payroll engagements, and both camps tell it in their own words.
Payroll here is run by Hannah Delashaw, our payroll manager, with the same team that closes your books.
Camp payroll
You do not have to move your accounting to us
Payroll stands on its own. Plenty of camps come to us for payroll and keep the bookkeeper they already have and like. If you would rather have one team handling the books and payroll together, we do that too, and the two fitting together is most of the value. Either way, we start with what you already run.
Next step
Start with your season, not a proposal
Tell us how your season runs and where payroll costs you the most time. We will tell you which of the three shapes above fits, and what it would take.
- How your hiring waves land, and what onboarding looks like today
- Which states your staff live in
- What your team is doing by hand that does not need doing
