Legal
Privacy policy.
Effective date: August 28, 2026
Bowline HQ ("Bowline," "we," "us") provides accounting, back-office, and advisory services to camps. This policy describes what information we collect through bowlinehq.com, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information you provide
When you submit a form on this site - a contact or assessment request, or the financial level check - we collect the information you enter, which may include your name, email address, phone number, camp name, camp type, approximate campers served, current accounting software, and anything you write in a message field. If you email us directly, we receive whatever you include in that email.
Information collected automatically
For security and abuse prevention, our systems process technical information such as your IP address when you submit a form; we store it only in a hashed form for rate limiting. Like most websites, our hosting infrastructure may also log basic technical data such as browser type and pages visited.
How we use information
We use the information we collect to respond to your inquiry, schedule and prepare for calls you request, provide and improve our services, protect the site against spam and abuse, and comply with legal obligations. If you request the financial level check report, we use your email to deliver it. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask for.
How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us run the site and our business (such as website hosting, data storage, and scheduling tools) and who may use it only to provide those services; when required by law or to protect our legal rights; or in connection with a business transaction such as a merger or sale, in which case this policy would continue to apply to previously collected information.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses only the cookies and browser storage needed for it to function, such as remembering your camp-type selection. We do not use advertising cookies.
Data retention
We keep information as long as needed for the purposes above - typically for as long as we are corresponding with you or providing services, plus any period required for legal, accounting, or record-keeping purposes.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you by emailing info@bowlinehq.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable law.
Children
This site is intended for adults - camp owners, directors, and staff. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Links to other sites
The site links to third-party services, such as our scheduling calendar. Those services have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to review.
Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will post the revised version here with a new effective date.
