Advisory
The decisions that
outlast a season.
The biggest questions in camp finance are not monthly. They are generational. A sale, a building, a succession, a campaign: each one decides whether what you built is still standing in twenty years. We sit alongside you for the ones you only get to answer once.
Most firms that serve camps stop at the close. This is where we start.

Decisions measured in decades, not months.
Where we come in
Four moments worth getting outside help for.
Buy & sell advisory
Acquiring the property next door, or handing the camp to the next generation. We bring the financial clarity and the deal discipline to get it right the first time, because there is no second one.
- Valuation and readiness
- Diligence support
- Transition and succession planning
Capital project advisory
New cabins, a dining hall, a waterfront rebuild. We model what it does to your cash and your debt service for the next decade before the first shovel goes in the ground.
- Feasibility and ROI modeling
- Financing structure
- Campaign and cash-flow planning
Board advisory
Your board should not have to interpret a spreadsheet to do its job. We build the reporting and run the room so decisions get made on the numbers, not on the loudest voice.
- Board-ready reporting
- Governance and policy
- Meeting facilitation
Fractional CFO
Senior financial leadership at the pace and price a camp can actually sustain. The same team that closes your month is the team in the strategy conversation.
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Tuition and pricing strategy
- Growth and diversification planning
Why it is different here
Advisors who have already read the ledger.
01
We already know your numbers
Advisory does not start with a discovery invoice. If we run your back office, the diligence is already done.
02
We model the whole property
Sessions, rentals, day camp, timber, pasture. Camps get valued badly when the non-tuition income is treated as noise.
03
We stay through the decision
Not a deck and a handshake. We are in the board meeting, the bank meeting, and the closing.
The prerequisite
Advice is only as good as the books underneath it.
A valuation, a capital model, or a board recommendation built on cash-basis books is a guess in a nicer font. Real advisory rests on a level 4 close: timing adjusted so the statements show what was actually earned and owed, with budget-to-actual beside it. Our engagements start at level 3 and climb from there.
Josh’s five levels
Our client directors grade every set of books on a five-level scale. See where yours sits today, and what the decision in front of you actually requires.
